Feel Good Friday: Overcoming Adversity

Feel Good Friday: Overcoming Adversity

Thriving in Tough Times

Life is full of unexpected twists and turns, and 2020 certainly tested all of us. At The Inspiration Company, we experienced first-hand how quickly things can change—and how important it is to adapt and rise to the challenge. Our story of overcoming adversity during that time isn’t just about our business—it’s a story that reflects what so many of you have been through. We hope it can inspire you to find strength and possibility in your own challenges.

When the world was forced to slow down, with malls closing and people staying home, it felt like everything came to a screeching halt. We, like many of you, faced uncertainty. But even when things seemed bleak, we found a way to keep going.

Leaning on What Matters Most

Just as you may have leaned on your loved ones, your faith, or your community during that time, we leaned on Inspiration Nation. Faced with store closures and mounting expenses, we sent out a heartfelt message, unsure of what would happen. And the response we received was overwhelming. You—our customers—showed up for us in ways that still bring us deep gratitude. You bought bracelets for friends and family, spreading love and positivity when the world needed it most. You reminded us that even in the hardest of times, we can still find ways to lift each other up.

This is a lesson for all of us: when adversity hits, it’s important to lean on those who support you. Whether it’s a friend, a family member, or even a community, there’s always someone in your corner. Don’t be afraid to reach out for help or to offer it in return.

Finding Opportunity in Challenges

Like many of you, we had to get creative when the usual path was blocked. Our stores were closed, and sales were down. But instead of giving in, we saw this as a chance to innovate. We turned our mall kiosks into bracelet-making hubs, bringing our manufacturing back to the USA. What initially seemed like a disaster became one of the most rewarding transitions for us as a company.

Think about your own life: what challenges have you faced recently? Is there an obstacle that feels like it’s stopping you in your tracks? What if, instead of seeing it as a roadblock, you looked at it as an opportunity? Often, the most significant growth happens when we step outside our comfort zone and try something new. Like us, you might find that a situation you once dreaded leads to your next great success.

You Have the Strength to Grow

Throughout the pandemic, we faced numerous hurdles, but we kept moving forward. With your help, we stayed afloat and even reached new milestones—being featured on Good Morning America and The View and opening new stores like our Wellington Mall location. In a year that could have been our downfall, we continued to spread inspiration, reaching more people and sharing our message of positivity.

If there’s one thing we learned, it’s that you don’t have to go through hard times alone. And you—yes, you—have the strength to keep pushing forward, even when the path seems uncertain. Maybe you’re facing financial stress, work challenges, or personal struggles. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by everything happening around us, but take heart in knowing that adversity often plants the seeds for future success.

Feel Good Friday Takeaway: Turning Challenges Into Opportunities

As you head into this weekend, take a moment to reflect on any challenges in your life. Ask yourself: What can I learn from this? How can I turn this into a stepping stone for something greater? Just as we were able to transform a tough situation into an opportunity for growth, you, too, have the ability to overcome adversity and come out stronger on the other side.

At The Inspiration Company, we believe that every obstacle is an opportunity in disguise. So, this Feel Good Friday, let’s embrace life’s challenges with hope, determination, and the belief that good things are always ahead. You’ve got this.
